Getting my hair cut is one of those things I am very particular about. I love my long luscious balayage locks more than anything. I had been going to the same hair dresser for 5 years, until he moved away. I was so anxious about finding a new salon, and someone I trusted to color and cut my hair that I put it off for a few months. I soon found out about a new up and coming salon based in West Village called Village Parlor. I was very intrigued after doing my research about the owners, salon, and client pictures on their Instagram. I chose to bite the bullet and make an appointment. I decided I was going to get anything crazy just a freshened up color and cut. I was lucky enough to have Nichole as my colorist, in which I found out she specialized in baylayage! I was really nervous about having someone new color my hair, but I couldn’t have anyone who would have been better. Nichole really had an eye for detail and hand painted every piece to make sure it was perfectly blended. Then afterwards Ryan styled my hair by creating big beachy waves. I have tried to recreate the look countless times, but it never turns out anywhere as good as when he did it! What I enjoyed most about my time at Village Parlor was how friendly everyone was and how aesthetically pleasing the interior design was, and what a comfortable atmosphere it had. They stock the best products from R+ Co, that smell amazing and don’t weigh your hair down. In which I have fell in love with the Dallas thickening spray. Overall I would rate this Salon 10/10 and will be going back every time I need anything hair related.

When I was recently in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic I was lucky enough to discover and meet the founder of @evas.garden! She was one of the sweetest people I’ve met and very passionate about what she develops with her brands products. I wanted to take the time to really test out the @evas.garden skincare to be able to give a proper review for my blog. Over the past 3 weeks I have used nothing but the Eva’s Garden Skincare Range (Activated Charcoal Cleansing Bar + Rose Water Facial Toner + Skin Facial Moisturizer). I can honestly say that it has to be the most simple and effective skincare set I have EVER used. I would recommend to anyone who has combination / oily skin like me to help keep your skin healthy and clear. It’s not over drying, sticky or heavy like other products i’ve tested in the past. It works well when I pair it with or without make up application afterwards. When I am on vacation then I like to add in something with spf as well afterwards. I used to be the person with a million skincare products and now it’s so much easier now that I’ve narrowed it down to a simple travel friendly regime. I will definitely be continuing with this routine in addition to trying more of her products in the future. Not to mention I am a big supporter of Natural, Organic & Paraben Free Products. In conclusion if you’re looking for a new range or brand to try then I advise you to look into their range.

- Drink Lots of water! ( Boring but True)
- Drink a cup of hot White or Green tea with the juice of half a fresh lemon every morning.
- Eat as clean as possible (Lots of Fruits & Vegetables)
- Simplify your skincare routine. (Less Chemicals the better) I also prefer to buy non fragranced skin care products.
- Vitamins. I have currently been testing out the new REGIME London Hyaluronic Acid Capsules . I have noticed the biggest difference in my skin texture as well and the clearness. I will 100% be continuing to take these daily around breakfast time.
- Cleanse both morning and night! For me this is a must. I have been using the Tula Purifying Cleanser for a few weeks now and it is a great product. It makes my skin feel very clean without being irritating or over drying.
- Face Masks! I am addicted to pampering myself 2-4 times a week with a nice face mask. Some of my favorites are:
9. Wear sunscreen. At the very least get a foundation that has some sort of spf in it just in case!
10. Make sure to exfoliate your body 1-2 times a week. I like to go in between using a good coffee / sugar scrub or bristle brush. I am currently using the Be Model Co body scrub and it smells delicious. This make sure to get rid of all the dry dead skin so your skin looks fresh and new.
11. Moisturize. I like to use body lotion every time i get out the shower to avoid having dry skin. I also am a big fan of eye creams. My favorite eye cream is the Kiehls creamy avocado one. I tend to get dry skin around my eyes so this defiantly helps with that.
Sometimes work and travel become too much and you just need a night in to relax. Usually the first thing I like to do when I get home is to take off my makeup. As of lately I have been loving the Tula Purifying Cleanser because it is an all in one product. It takes off your make up while cleansing my skin without being too drying. Its great because its suitable for all skin types and even sensitive skin. It leaves my face feeling smooth and balanced every night. Next I like to go in with a face mask and I usually rotate to what my skin needs at the time. This time I decided to use the Exfoliating Treatment Mask also from the Tula Range. I think this is a great mask because it makes my skin feel so clean and helps clear my skin drastically. After that I love to run a hot bath with some sort of bath bomb/ bubble bar I have only ever really tried the Lush products so I decided to try the BeModel Cosmetics Raspberry Dream Bath Bomb. First off the price is a big plus for me as well as the fact it doesn’t have glitter so it makes post bath clean up so much easier. The floral (Lavender & Roses) scent was very aromatic and helped enhance my relaxation during the bath. I am a massive fan of these bath bombs and will be stocking up on them very soon. While in the bath I like to get caught up on my exfoliating by using the Remodel Cosmetics Cacao Body scrub I usually use it before I shave to have an extra silky glow and moisturized skin. This stuff smells like heaven! It is also a good product to use the night before a spray tan to exfoliate your skin so you tan looks and lasts better. After my bath I like to finish up my skincare routine by first taking off my mask. I like to follow up with a good serum, moisturizer and eye cream. For a serum I like going with the Akar Skin Neat Remedy Oil. I have always been timid when it comes to putting oils and serums on my skin as i have sensitive skin and tend to break out, but this one helps restore the sebum oils without being drying to help keep problem skin away. As for a moisturizer I still stick with my Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer because it is super gentle affordable and sits really well on my skin. The past few months I have been adding under eye creams to me skincare regime and the Keihl’s Creamy Under Eye Treatment w/ Avocado Oil has been keeping them moisturized and definitely helps me look less tired after not getting enough sleep! It also helps concealer apply better when using it beforehand! Lastly I like to get into some comfy pajamas and pick my favorite netflix series to watch whilst adding my Akar mini care lip butter. It helps keep my lips soft and hydrated without causing them to get drier in-between applications.
